Bio Information

Joseph A. Brannon, CPA

Joey Brannon is the founder of Axiom CPA, P.A., a specialized accounting and consulting firm in Bradenton, Florida. Mr. Brannon has over fifteen years of experience in public and private accounting and consulting. His expertise is in business operations and management with an emphasis on technology and automated business systems.

After working for larger public accounting firms in Southwest Florida Mr. Brannon founded Axiom in 2005. The firm limits its practice to closely held businesses and their owners. All new clients undergo a thorough due diligence process designed to uncover as much information as possible regarding the business’ profit potential, management strengths and ability to become an industry top performer. Those businesses selected as clients enter a periodic consulting relationship with the firm where they take advantage of operational and management assistance as well as the traditional tax compliance and accounting services.

In 2008 Axiom expanded into bookkeeping services and in 2009 the company launched a separate division providing strategic planning and management consulting services to mid market companies in the Eastern United States.

Mr. Brannon is a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia and completed his accounting education at the University of South Florida. He is a Florida native, happily married and the ecstatic father of two boys. In addition to his life as a husband, father and business owner Mr. Brannon is an active non-profit board member and fund raiser in the Bradenton/Sarasota community. His passions are education and families. Accordingly his board service includes past terms with the Manatee County Early Learning Coalition, and Kids Miracle Partners. He currently serves on the boards of The Family Partnership Center, the Manatee County YMCA and The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. He has been a member of The C12 Group since 2007 and is an active member of Woodland, The Community Church in Bradenton.

Mr. Brannon is a frequent speaker and seminar leader within the accounting industry and small business community. His topics include technical accounting subjects, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, and organizational development.
