Responsible for the daily management and oversight of Cat Depot Shelter Medical, including operations, practice
development, internal controls, employee relations, recruitment, expenses, purchasing and inventory systems,
hospital equipment and facility maintenance. The Shelter Medical Manager is a role model for the philosophy,
mission and core values of Cat Depot and develops the veterinary team personally and professionally through job
tasks, decision empowerment, continuing education, and employee programs. The Shelter Medical Manager has a
high level of detail and accuracy, has strong relationship skills, can independently identify needs and challenges in
the practice, and is creative and resourceful in resolving them with little supervision. General knowledge of quality
assurance and performance in veterinary medicine is required. The Shelter Medical Manager will participate in the
development of medical protocols under the advice of the primary shelter veterinarian.
Minimum 3 years each of veterinary experience with minimum of 3 years proven business management
expertise; CVPM a plus
