COMPASSIONATE, RESPECTFUL, PATIENT, INDEPENDENT, AND DEPENDABLE PERSON TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING AND ESSENTIAL PERSONAL CARE TO MALE PATIENT IN HOME.
• Assist patient with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Meal preparation.
• Direct and assist patient in prescribed therapies/exercises.
• Assist with patient’s mobility as needed including, but not limited to, helping with ambulation as needed (e.g., moving in and out of shower, bathroom, chair, bed, wheelchair, and automobile).
• Collect routine specimens as requested.
• Assist in self-administering of prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
• Occasionally monitor patient's vital signs (e.g., temperature, respiration, and oxygen level) and report on patient’s condition, as needed.
• Make efforts to keep the patient engaged mentally through conversation, games, and other forms of activity.
• Timely communication of the patient’s apparent condition, including progress, problems, any change or unusual condition, to the patient’s designated family member and others involved in the patient’s care as authorized.
• Perform simple, routine housekeeping tasks (e.g., laundry and vacuuming of patient's bedroom and personal area).

• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with basic personal hygiene standards including, but not limited to, handwashing and bathing.
• Comfortable providing medical care in close physical proximity to patients.
• Caring and compassionate personality.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure with patients who present challenging behavior.
• No smoking in home or premises.
• Must be flexible and able to work a schedule that includes weekends, occasional holidays, and evenings/nights. The schedule will be on a month-to-month basis and may vary and is subject to change.
