Identify repair and, or replacement needs, provide necessary information on the proper uses of the equipment, and assist other skilled trades as required. Assist in the repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately.
Perform all aspects of replacing case items such as: evaporator coils on 4’ to 12’ cases, end panels and protectors, honeycomb (all makes), tag molding, wire racks, deck pans, shelves, return air grills, curved glass gaskets (slip-on, or push-in), front glass doors (all makes), rear sliding doors (OSA), glass thermal panes (coffin cases), reach in glass doors (all makes), and reach in glass door gaskets
Perform all aspects of replacing walk-in items such as: door plugs, buck door assemblies, thru-bolt separated doors, door gaskets (all types), door hinges and handles, recessed push knob cups and protectors, roller assemblies and tracks, door stoppers and jambs, freezer door jamb heaters, and door flaps (all types)
Perform all aspects of replacing self-contained cases items such as: prep table door gaskets, prep table door hinges, and caster wheels
Learn and move ahead with company provided training and invest time for acquiring EPA license
Prepare documentation (e.g. paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) providing written support in compliance with regulations and, or conveying information
Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair/cleaning
Coordinate with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work-orders efficiently
Maintain tools and, or equipment to ensure the safe working order of the equipment
Notify area/district management about emergency situations during, or after hours for the purposes of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
Safely operate company vehicle, maintain its appearance inside and out, have it serviced for scheduled maintenance, or repairs, and maintain and update an orderly parts inventory
Process SMS reference numbers using provided mobile technology
Basic knowledge of commercial refrigeration functions
Basic troubleshooting ability
Basic mechanical skills
Ability to lift up to 40lbs
Ability to climb on rooftops
