    Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Job Posting: Prevention Specialist

    Primary Function: Under the supervision of the Prevention/Intervention Program Manager, plans, coordinates, presents and evaluates the SMART programs at the club level. Implements, plans and performs the duties of the SMART program, (GPIA) Gang Prevention Initiative Awareness, and (JJIS) Juvenile Justice Intake System.

    FUNCTION: The Video Production Specialist will do pre-project planning of the video production process, working closely with youth. The Video Production Specialist will create videos in conjunction with Club Youth for PSAs, web-based programming, and social media. The Video Production Specialist will oversee the post production and final video project which includes video creation process and involves the final editing, proofing, and development of a recorded video.

    • Show creative expertise and strong technical skills by helping youth participants produce engaging videos that show the youth voice.

    Job Opening: Facilities and Maintenance Manager

    FUNCTION: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Facilities & Maintenance is responsible for leading the organization’s facilities maintenance by all trades, facilities scheduling in conjunction with the Club Directors, day to day custodial and service operations, preventive maintenance, energy and utilities systems, recycling and waste management, transportation, grounds maintenance and facility condition assessment and tracking.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: (not all-inclusive)

    Leadership

    • Manage the Sanitation Technician, Custodian, Cleaning Vendor and Transportation Dispatcher by providing support, coaching and feedback, supervision, and guidance to ensure a high performing team.
    • Manage team performance with clear performance objectives and enforcement of excellent internal controls.
    • Establish and continuously evaluate the department’s performance metrics, team structure and annual plans for continuous improvement.
    • Provide team members with professional and personal growth through ongoing talent management practices, including leadership development, skill development and position-specific articles/books/training.

    Risk Management and Maintenance

    • Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures.

    Facilities Maintenance and Repair

    • Lead the planning, reporting and management of the facilities team to ensure day to day maintenance requests are resolved per established timeframes.
    • Lead the administration of BGCMC’s janitorial cleaning services contract.
    • Lead the Transportation Dispatcher to ensure the regular maintenance and inspection of BGCMC’s fleet of vehicles to ensure excellent driving condition.
    • Lead the administration of BGCMC’s professional services contractors to ensure adequate on-site technical analysis and troubleshooting for various maintenance and facilities-related issues, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire\life safety, and HVAC.
    • Maintain general knowledge of maintenance and construction standards, OSHA requirements, Safe Drinking Water Standards, ADA requirements, building code.
    • Coordinate and attend safety inspections of the Clubs and ensuring that any facilities-related issues are addressed in a timely fashion.

    Facility Resource and Management

    • Manage BGCMC’s garage space.
    • Lead the purchasing, inventory and distribution of furniture, equipment, and cleaning supplies for all Clubs (excluding technology equipment and supplies). Maintain and manage an adequate inventory reserve.

    Critical Liaison with Administrative and Program Leadership Team

    • Attend weekly Admin and bi-weekly Club Staff meetings to ensure consistent feedback and communication loop on all tasks, projects, and supports related to supporting Clubs.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS: (not all inclusive)

    • This position is Full Time Exempt position
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in property maintenance
    • Experience in an afterschool, club or educational setting.
    • Must have comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local building standards and codes; as well as knowledge of OSHA compliance regulations.
    • Must have general knowledge in operation and maintenance of buildings and building systems to include: building envelope, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, security systems, etc.
    • Must have experience with development of capital and facilities operations budgets and capital replacement and renewal planning and scheduling.

    FUNCTION: The Organizational Trainer is responsible for the development, management, coordination and tracking of all activities related to trainings, trainers and trainees across the agency. The Organizational Trainer works closely with all levels of staff and management to ensure that BGCMC’s professional development and talent management processes are developed and implemented.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: (not all-inclusive)

    • Research, select and implement all curriculums used for BGCMC trainings. Review, evaluate and update current curriculums regularly.
    • Ensure all certification and professional track courses are up-to-date.
    • Responsible for scheduling trainings and trainers, preparing the space with appropriate materials and equipment, and providing support (as needed) to trainers.
    • Design annual training booklets and flyers. Develop, manage, review, and update a training resource manual. Oversee the dissemination of all materials.
    • Create and maintain a training/professional development database. Run and distribute reports as needed.
    • Act as the trainer and/or facilitator (or assist trainers) for new hire onboarding and other training/workshops identified as critical areas of need.
    • Chair the Professional Development Committee. Take lead role in the planning of Professional Development Days to ensure we have a comprehensive and successful day while managing the process under the budget limits.
    • Work closely with the HR Director, CEO, COO and VP of Program Services relative to the training/professional development needs of the agency.
    • Manage the agency wide professional development resources budget, including identifying opportunities and reviewing and processing staff/manager training/professional development requests. Participate in the annual planning of the Professional Development budget.
    • Liaison with all required external agencies relative to trainings. This includes the purchasing of supplies, completion of registrations, collection and dissemination of certificates, and the scheduling of trainers courses. Ensure all curriculums and materials are up-to-date.
    • Work closely with Senior Leadership in creating and maintaining a Talent Management process. Coordinate and manage the process to ensure the appropriate documentation and processes are being followed.
    • Review all individual professional development plans
    • Coordinate the dissemination of information regarding all external trainings and conferences.
    • Seek out and communicate training opportunities for all levels of staff as needed.
    • Participate in national, state and local organizations to maintain state of the art knowledge and skills; contributing to the field through research and development.
