One of the most popular Suncoast TV personalities returns to weekday mornings. Don Brennan joins “SNN Morning Edition,” starting Monday June 4, replacing Ben Bobick who is taking a position in Chattanooga, TN.
SNN Vice President and General Manager, Charles Cusimano said the decision was an easy one. “With his long, previous experience as a morning anchor in the market, we quickly determined that having Don reassume such a position would serve viewers well. We’re genuinely excited to see him return to a role that viewers are accustomed to, and one that suits him perfectly.”
Brennan, who joined SNN as Sports Director in July 2017, teams up with Kathy Leon, who has anchored mornings on the Suncoast for more than 20 years. Rounding out the SNN morning team are Meteorologist Marco La Manno and Traffic Reporter Chuck Whitaker.
"Sports is my passion," Brennan said. "But I can't tell you how many people have told me they miss me in the morning, so when the opportunity presented itself, I was ALL in.”
Brennan started his career working for the WWE and WSTC News Radio in Connecticut. He moved to Florida to pursue a Master’s Degree. After earning his degree, Brennan went to Miami’s 560 WQAM, covering the Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Miami Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, and Miami Dolphins. He later joined WZVN (ABC), Fort Myers and from there spent 10 years at WWSB.
When he is not working Don enjoys time with his two sons, Trey (13) and Logan (11), and two dogs, Mia and Venus.
WSNN is a part of the Citadel Communications family which also includes ABC affiliates WLNE, Providence, RI and KLKN, Lincoln, NE.
