Punta Gorda, FL – Fishermen’s Village will play host as the location for the 1st Annual International Culture Fest, Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, 2018. The event is proudly presented in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage Center of Southwest Florida.
The event kicks off Friday, July 13 from 5pm-9pm with a variety of music genres presented by The Ragady Lapsey Band in Center Court. At 8 pm, Natacha Zamor from TampaBay Afrofit with be performing a Cultural Dance, the Chakacha.
On Saturday, July 14 from 10 am-4 pm, visitors to Fishermen’s Village will experience multi-cultural entertainment, arts & crafts, and traditional cuisine. Featured countries and cultures from around the world will be - Asia, Africa, Caribbean Islands, Europe, Middle East, Hispanic/Latin. A highlight of Saturday’s event will be the “Parade of Cultures” at 11 am.
Participating organizations represented at the International Culture Fest include: Blanchard House Museum, Caribbean Cultural Coalition, Hispanic-American Citizens Council, Sushila Cherian -Indian Culture, Islamic Society of SWFL, New World Celts, and more.
