From the age of 4, I’ve been a part of the performing arts, benefiting from the confidence and discipline that comes from the whole theatre experience. Knowing that I can help introduce these unique formative opportunities to more families and individuals in our community through the growth of The Players Center for Performing Arts, brings an important part of my life full circle.”

    Julie Henry, Panel Moderator

Julie Henry is a professional speaker and the founder of Finish Line Leadership, a consulting firm built, not only from a decade of climbing hierarchies within companies and another ten years partnering along side of them, but from an unlikely source - from the symbiotic and savage wilderness of our natural world. Julie uses her extensive background in science and communication, countless hours spent teaching and in outdoor fieldwork, and professional leadership experience within zoos and aquariums to impart to her audiences miraculous stories and provocative insights about the art of instinct, endurance, and survival that help leaders lead through change. Julie has presented to over 1 million people, across 32 states, 6 countries, and worked with over 50 organizations including Nabisco, Seattle Aquarium, Zenith Insurance, and Disney. BET ON YOURSELF AND YOU’LL ALWAYS WIN:
    OVERCOMING SETBACKS

Molly Bloom is an inspirational keynote speaker, entrepreneur, and bestselling author of Molly’s Game. She is best known for her memoir, Molly’s Game, which was adapted into an award-winning film of the same name by Aaron Sorkin. Bloom’s memoir chronicles her journey from college student to LA waitress to building and operating the largest and most notorious private poker game in the world. Her games featured hundreds of millions of dollars and players like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, A-Rod, and Ben Affleck.

Bloom began her career as a world-class skier. While training as a pre-teen she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and had to undergo surgery that the doctors said would end her athletic career. A year later, fully recovered, she was back on the slopes. She later joined the U.S. Ski Team and at 21 years old was ranked No. 3 in North America in moguls, but her Olympic dreams would go unrealized as she left the team to pursue other projects. This led her to what she thought would be a year sabbatical in LA.

Bloom was finishing her degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado – Boulder, and was in the process of applying to top tier Law Schools, when her assistant job turned her into an accidental entrepreneur, running one of  the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker games in the world, pulling in as much as $4 million per year. What happened next is where her story truly begins.

The film Molly’s Game, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, stars Jessica Chastain (as Molly), Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Brian d’Arcy James, and Chris O’Dowd. Bloom has appeared on numerous shows and in media outlets such as EllenVice, The Los Angeles Times, NPR, Vulture, and has been asked to speak at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women, for companies like Blackrock Financial, SiriusXM Radio, and will deliver the 2018 commencement speech at Colorado State University.

    Rogan Donelly, President of Tervis

Tervis President Rogan Donelly joins us to share the history and future of one of the region's largest employers. Hear how the company has overseen a shift in products in the marketplace, and how Rogan, as a third-generation leader in the family-run company, has initiated change and avoided pitfalls.

Tervis has been a constant throughout Rogan’s life. His grandfather, John C. Winslow, purchased the company in the late 1950s and passed it on to Rogan’s father, Norbert Donelly, in the 1980s. As a middle schooler, Rogan spent his summers shuffling boxes around the original Osprey, Florida Tervis factory floor. In 2008, he became a Member of the Board and in 2009, after working in Boston at Bank of America in the Global and Wealth Investment Management division, Rogan moved back to Sarasota and was named Principal of Tervis. After working in every department of the company, Rogan was appointed President in May 2016, becoming the third generation to hold that position. As President, Rogan has refocused the company on great customer experience by making the Lifetime Guarantee easier for consumers to redeem at all official Tervis retails stores and launching the extremely popular Stainless collection. Rogan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. He is also very active in his community, serving on the board of the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, as a Trustee of Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, a Director at Gulfside Bank, is a member of the Argus Foundation and Gulf Coast CEO Forum and proudly mentors at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
