Membership Benefits

Membership in the LWRBA gives you the opportunity to be a member of a positive, growing professional organization with tremendous diversity in its member businesses which extends all throughout Lakewood Ranch and beyond with its infectious forward thinking mentality

 Creating Exposure for Your Business

Members receive various opportunities to gain added exposure for their business via events, sponsorship opportunities, web presence, committee involvement and a variety of other opportunities.

  • Excellent opportunity to represent and showcase your business at various functions with average attendance well over 200.
  • Membership offers multiple opportunities to give and receive referrals.
  • A variety of events offer sponsorship opportunities as well as our annual sponsorship packages.
  • Opportunity to meet key community business leaders.

Events

Our events allow you to meet business people and community leaders as well as provide wonderful opportunities to network and give your organization "Visibility" in the community.

•·       Monthly Networking Socials are hosted by different alliance members from 5 pm until 7 pm on the first Wednesday of every month. These networking events are attended by members, non members and community leaders. Networking socials provide exceptional opportunities to showcase your business. Employees and guests are welcome. Refer to the events page of our website for the latest listings.

  • Bi-Monthly Membership Luncheons are held on the second Wednesday of every other month. The luncheons offer networking from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm with the luncheon program running from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Speakers or panel discussions are presented to help educate the members on a variety of topics effecting Lakewood Ranch. 
  • Executive Briefings are held the third Wednesday of every month. They offer networking from 7:00 am – 8:00 am with the presentation running from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Presentations are based on topics to help you succeed in business and professional development.
  • Special Meetings are scheduled throughout the year depending on the need. Speakers may be brought in on a range of topics depending on the demand and request.
  • New Member Events allows new members to learn about the Alliance, its committees, programs and meet Board Members. New members also receive New Member kits from a member of the membership committee and are connected with a mentor if they choose.
  • Fundraising Events
    The Alliance holds fundraising events throughout the year to generate additional income for the organization. Our 2009 events included the Rat Pack Celebration and the Car BQ

Committee Participation

All members of the Alliance are encouraged to get involved with a committee during the year. View our committees page to find out what options exist, select the committee which best represents you, then click on our events calendar to see when the next meeting is scheduled. Committees meet once a month at various locations.

  • Opportunity to guide the vision of the organization with participation, input, action. 

Voice your Concerns

The Alliance was established to create a "Voice" for our members. We are here to help you get issues resolved and / or suggest improvements. Whether it is on a business level, corporate level, community level, or political level, we are here to help. 

  • Be a part of an advocacy group where business ideas and concepts are discussed and acted upon. 
  • Be a part of a unified voice on political issues that affect our business, community and livelihood.
  • Active participation by business executives and business owners furthering the overall business interests of Lakewood Ranch.
  • Participation with and exposure to local and state elected officials- opportunities to voice your concerns and opinions on important issues. Meet with potential candidates during election periods. Access to the Sarasota and Manatee Chambers of commerce, EDC's and Coalition of Business Associations through the membership of the LWRBA. These affiliations and memberships maximize exposure and provide a voice for our members.

Internet Presence

Members receive a free searchable listing in the Alliance's online member directory. The listing provides basic company contact information, a direct link to the member's Web site, and a direct link for visitors to send an e-mail message to the company. Visitors to our site may locate members by business name, category, web address, and telephone number.

  • Extend your reach and join the LWRBA group on LinkedIn. 
  • Other LWRBA web features include the ability to post job openings, informational meetings, membership listing and a mechanism where members can easily interact with other plus receive discount from others LWRBA members.
  • Receive weekly Eblasts on news and upcoming events. Members are also able to list their own events for added exposure both in the Eblasts and on the community events section of our website.
